The UN Global Compact Network Italy established a Working Group on Sustainable Procurement, with the aim of helping participating companies to share best practices – with a peer-learning approach – and deepening the issue of sustainable supply chain management.
More than 50 business organisations, mainly companies operating in various fields, such as finance, energy and multi-utility, transportation, food & beverage, retail & personal goods are involved in the activities of the Working Group.
In 2024, the meetings will focus on the three ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) dimensions, with the aim of drafting a final document including guidelines for a Code of conduct for suppliers. The activities were implemented with the support of Edison.
