The UN Global Compact Network Italy work programme is divided into three types of activities, which can be of:
- promotion, with reference to the initiatives aimed to disseminate the UN Global Compact Ten Principles and the more general United Nations goals (including Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs). This kind of activities includes also the initiatives of presentation of the Italian Network and of sharing of the UN Global Compact experience in Italy at new international and European contexts.
- knowledge, with reference to sustainability themes and fields linked to them within the general UN Global Compact framework. These activities are mainly aimed to a knowledge sharing and a continuous update on the issues (through conferences, workshops, seminars, ect.) and represents an important opportunity for experiences exchange between participating organizations. Planning these initiatives, the Network tends to favour the involvement of representatives from the international policy-community and organizations focused on the issues, with the aim to ensure an effective enrichment in terms of wealth of theoretical and practical knowledge.
- support, which means actions of assistance and support companies and organizations members of the Network in the implementation of the UN Global Compact Ten Principles both in the core business and in their sphere of influence, and reporting their sustainability performances.
Each year, the UNGCN Italy provides information on projects and initiatives implemented by the production of a Activities Report.
