The Report, presented in New York during the High-level Week of the 2025 United Nations General Assembly, is the result of a survey conducted on 13,000 people in 15 countries on the European continent (Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain) and in the United Kingdom. The study presents an overall positive perception of sustainable development by Europeans: in all the countries taken into consideration, the majority of those interviewed (between 70% and 95%) underlined that sustainable development should be a priority in the political agenda of the EU and Governments and that regulations applied to businesses are necessary for building a more sustainable world. More specifically, 85% of Italian citizens consider sustainability a priority and 80% ask for a more decisive commitment from the institutions.
