The Italian Network of UN Global Compact is promoting the fourth edition of the Sustainable Procurement Working Group, launched in 2023 with the aim of offering participating Italian companies a space for in-depth analysis, exchange of experiences, and peer-learning on sustainable supply chain management.

67 Italian companies, operating in various sectors - such as finance, energy and multi-utility, transportation, food&beverage, retail&personal goods - are involved in the Working Group's activiities this year. 

The 2026 edition will consists of four meetings, between April and November, whic will explore the following topics:

  • due diligence and ESG audit
  • supplier management and evaluation systems
  • emissions reduction and circularity
  • digitalization and artificial intelligence for sustainable procurement

During this year's edition, moreover, a group of SMEs, which are suppliers of the companies participating to the Group, will take part in the discussion and enrich the opportunities for peer-learning and exchange.

For 2026, the programme is being promoted by the Italian Network, with the support of ERM as Technical Partner. The first two in-person events will feature the active participation of Maire as Sponsor; while the third event will be hosted by the Sponsor Edison.
