Within the UN Global Compact Network Italy, the Diversity & Inclusion Observatory is active, established with the aim of creating a space for in-depth discussion, comparison, and exchange of experiences among Italian companies participating in the United Nations Global Compact on the theme of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
To date, 46 business and non-business organizations are involved in the working group's activities, coordinated by UNGCNI and enriched by contributions from the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Italian Association of Personnel Management (AIDP).
For 2026, the Observatory's meetings will focus on the following topics:
- internal and external backlash on DEI
- neurodiversity and talent development
- focus on LGBTQAI+ issues
