In 2011, on the occasion of the last European UN Global Compact Local Networks Meeting (Rome, 26-28 October), the Global Compact Network Italy published the following European best practices collection. The best practices collection contains forty-nine articles written by companies that operate in fifteen different European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Spain and Sweden. All the articles included in this collection focus on sustainability development initiatives and programs carried out by European companies participating to the UN Global Compact, to help advance sustainable business models and markets coherently with the Rio+20 logic.
