On 15 March 2017 Assicurazioni Generali’s Board of Directors approved both the Group’s new Charter of Sustainability Commitments, defining Generali’s sustainability position and identifying its commitments towards stakeholders, and the 2016 Sustainability Report.

The Charter, that can be downloaded from the website, consists of two principle areas of activity. The first one refers to running a sustainable business through the Group’s day-to-day activities and the second one regards the positive impact Generali aims to create within the community. In both areas of activity – in line with input gained from listening to and discussing with a wide variety of stakeholders – Generali has identified the main commitments it will adhere to. These start with responding to megatrends which shape the Group’s business and the society, to being the first choice for our clients and valuing our distributors.

The Sustainability Report of the Group, available in PDF format and as an interactive version, informs stakeholders of its commitments, actions and performance in the social and environmental spheres, which also underline its support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
