The UN Global Compact Network Italy's D&I Observatory aims to analyze emerging issues related to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), share challenges and best practices, and develop participatory guidelines. The working group is structured around three meetings, enriched by the contribution of experts, and boasts two established partners, the ILO and AIDP.
Topic
Established in 2021 on the initiative of members of the Italian Network of the UN Global Compact, the D&I Observatory aims to analyze emerging issues related to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), share challenges and best practices, and develop participatory guidelines.
The working group currently involves 46 participants, including companies from different product sectors and sizes and non-business entities, and boasts two established partners, the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Italian Association for Personnel Management (AIDP).
Three thematic meetings are planned for 2026, featuring an initial panel of experts and a subsequent peer-learning session. Short outputs containing key takeaways and best business practices will also be drafted and shared after each meeting.
The D&I Observatory has produced three publications to date:
- Guidelines on Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace (2021)
- How to develop a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion policy (2023)
- How to monitor and measure Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (2024)
