The most recent meeting of the Working Group "Anti-Corruption" was held on July 11th in Milan and was attended by representatives of the following businesses: ABB, eni, Intesa Sanpaolo, Italcementi, Siemens Italia, TI IT, UniCredit. The main objectives of the meeting were the individuation of the thematic focus to develop and the definition of the activities agenda for the next six months. With regard to the first point, the W-G is going to work on the topic of corruption between private entities, beginning with a preliminary general assessment on the compliance strategies and policies of the Italian companies. The in-depth study and analysis of the chosen theme will be divided into three main phases, which will be aimed respectively at: a mapping of company risk areas (step 1); a comparison of the practices of compliance of the companies that are part of the W-G, taking into account previously identified areas at risk (step 2); an analytical study on specific issues, such as admissibility, or the relation of the crime of corruption existing between private entities and models 231, etc. (step 3).
