The 6th edition of the “Salone CSR IS” is being organised. The event - promoted by the Global Compact Network Italy together with Bocconi University, the CSR Manager Network, Unioncamere, the Sodalitas Foundation, and Koinètica - is the most highly anticipated event for those involved in sustainability and social innovation.

For the 2018 edition, the fair has expanded its presence in Italy taking place in 10 cities in its tour of Italy (Giro d’Italia della CSR): after Salerno, Turin, Udine, Rome, Perugia, Genoa and Florence, the “Salone” will be in Bologna, Cosenza and Verona until the end of May.

The numbers of the fair are growing: the 2017 edition hosted 161 leading organizations, 5000 participants, 85 events, and over 300 speakers. Furthermore, since 2015 the fair has obtained the ISO 20121 certification: Bureau Veritas Italia has certified the last 3 editions as a "sustainable event" in the design and management phases.

The title of the new edition is Routes of sustainability. The 2030 Agenda with its sustainable development goals is the main route for those who believe in change. Now the task is to identify the possible ways to arrive at the destination by identifying the most effective and efficient route with the awareness that the routes could cross each other or be modified in the face of changing conditions. This is why a shared project is needed to help organizations and people travel towards a sustainable future.

The Scientific Committee, made up of 30 professors from various Italian universities, along with the Promoting Group, is drafting the cultural program which includes courses dedicated to specific topics. Among the topics discussed will be: diversity and inclusion; sustainable finance; smart community and smart city; food and sustainable agriculture; change; circular economy and many more.

By mid-April almost 100 organizations had already joined the fair.
