The second edition of the Italian Business & SDGs Annual Forum will be held on September 27th 2017 from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm, in the town of Lucca at the prestigious Palazzo Pfanner. The Forum is promoted by the Global Compact Network Italy Foundation in collaboration with Sofidel Group, which kindly hosts the event,  and it is organized with the support of A2A SpA and Edison SpA. The initiative will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Municipality of Lucca, Confindustria Toscana Nord - Lucca, Pistoia, Prato.

The Forum will bring together firms of all sizes from various production sectors, provided they intend to be or are already committed to the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. In addition, representatives of institutions, civil society, academia and research will be present. Also this year the meeting is conceived of as being an important opportunity for a multi stakeholder meeting on the role the private sector is playing to support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030.

The first edition of the Forum, which was held in September 2016 in Venice on the Island of San Servolo, aimed at identifying the themes and objectives relating to sustainable development that at national level represent the priorities in terms of the private sector’s commitment and action supported by stakeholder organizations. This new edition, with the subheading "From Saying to Doing", is intended to be an opportunity to define Collective Actions by sustainability actors, i.e. by creating new partnerships and collaborations among those who will be present at the event. The actions to be designed will be partially related to the themes and objectives which came up as priorities from the first edition of the Forum, but will also focus on the new challenges that will emerge in the coming months.

Participation in the Forum is by invitation only.

On the evening of September 26, at the "San Colombano" restaurant set within the Renaissance Walls of Lucca, a Networking Dinner will be held exclusively for Forum participants.
