  • 4° CEO Meeting “Mobilizing broad markets to finance the SDGs”: outcome note

    The fourth edition of the Business & SDGs High Level Meeting, promoted by Global Compact Network Italy and organized with the support of Terna, was held on April 4 in Rome.

    The meeting was attended by Managing Directors, Presidents and top managers of Italian companies involved in the United Nations Global Compact and daily committed to implementing the 10 UNGC Principles and achieving the SDGs. Among the participants: Aeroporti di Puglia, Assicurazioni Generali, BNP Paribas Cardif, Gruppo Sofidel, Gruppo Unipol, Rina, Viscolube, A2A, Carbonsink, Edison, Eni, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Gruppo Hera, Leonardo, Maire Tecnimont, Pirelli, Saipem.

  • Al via i lavori della CFO Taskforce for SDGs dell’UN Global Compact

    Lo scorso 17 dicembre è stata lanciata, a Milano, la CFO Taskforce costituita di recente dall’UN Global Compact per dare nuovo impulso all’avanzamento dei 17 Global Goals sulla base di un programma di lavoro pluriennale. In altre parole, una nuova forma di collaborazione di altissimo livello per trovare tutte le risorse necessarie per “vincere” le sfide globali indicate dall’Agenda 2030 per lo Sviluppo sostenibile.

    Fra i fondatori della Taskforce, ci sono gli italiani: Enel, Eni, Pirelli, Terna.

  • New reports on the SRI market in Italy: EU, climate change and pension plans in the spotlight

    During the 8th edition of the Italian SRI Week last November, the Italian Sustainable Investment Forum (ItaSIF) published three reports on sustainable finance in Italy.

    The studies provide insights on the action of the European Union for greening finance, the correlation between climate change and financial choices of savers, and the Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) policies of pension plans.

  • The UN Global Compact's CFO Taskforce for SDGs gets underway

    The new UN Global Compact’s CFO Taskforce gets underway with a two-year programme designed to put corporate finance at the centre of the Sustainable Finance agenda to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Taskforce was launched, in Milan, with an event hosted by Borsa Italiana last December 17th.

    There are four italian companies among the founding members of the Taskforce: Enel, Eni, Pirelli, Terna.
