The Appointments

The annual events organized by the Global Compact Network Italy could be divided into six types:

Welcome Meeting - The event, which is open to Italian enterprises and organizations which have adhered to Global Compact during the previous year, is an important opportunity for meeting and sharing dialogue between the new participants, as well as between the new participants and the Italian Network Focal Point. Some basic information about the initiative and in particular about the activity carried out by the Italian Network at a local level will be provided.

Thematic Seminars – These are seminars in which the Global Compact Network Italia participants have the opportunity to discuss issues related to the carrying out of the ten principles promoted by the initiative, and also about more general aspects related to the theme of sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Working Group Meetings – These are meetings focused on the specific fields of the Global Compact: human rights, environment, labour and anti-corruption. Each working group is divided into several sub-groups and has a designated reserved area for the repository of materials and activities in the Italian version of the present website.

Institutional Events – These are the main events of the GCNI, in which the participants and supporters are involved:

• Steering Committee Meetings: these meetings, which are reserved exclusively for enterprises and organizations which support GCNI, are an opportunity to update and verify the planned activities, and are also a place for debate and considerations on GCNI development strategies and on its system of governance.
• Participants Annual Meeting: the meeting, which is open to all Global Compact Network Italia participating enterprises and organizations, is set up with the aim of sharing information about the ongoing activities and about the Network's structure and performance methods, as well as of gathering information about the interests of the participant enterprises and organizations in order to decide the future programmes.

Workshops about Global Compact Annual Communication - Meetings about technical aspects concerning the Annual communication production phase and the methodology of sharing the document with their own stakeholders. The approach methodology is characterized by interactivity and development of the participants' experience.

Promotion Events – Such events promote the Global Compact Initiative and its Principles and the Global Compact Network Italy. They are activities organized to deepen the understanding of the ten principles and the UN goals.
