The CSR Forum, organised by the Italian Banking Association and ABIEventi, with the collaboration of important Italian and international institutions, remains one of the most significant Italian events dedicated to corporate social responsibility, a subject of considerable interest in banking and finance, as in the political, economic and social system. The event will be held on December 1-2, in Rome at Palazzo Altieri (Piazza del Gesù, 49).

In addition to exploring the themes of financial inclusion and social integration, following a process initiated within the framework of the Association, CSR Forum 2016 will focus on the shared value that enterprises can generate for companies and their stakeholders, from shareholders to the communities in which they operate. In the current social and economic situation, enterprises are called on to pay ever greater attention to the impact of their activities on society, and to the establishment of mutually constructive relations with their stakeholders.

Starting with three key elements - legality, collective ingenuity and generational responsibility - the Italian banking sector's contribution to the debate will be presented at the Forum, with the aim of highlighting the value created by economic players who operate responsibly, in a manner respectful of external stakeholders' needs. In this regard, an entire session of the event will be dedicated to presenting the results of the research project entitled "Sustainability is good for business", which continued to involve many banks active in CSR this year.

In addition, a few days after its entry into force, the Forum will analyse and illustrate the legislative changes of European Directive 95/2014 on disclosure of non-financial and diversity information by large undertakings.
