On 11 July in Milan, A2A, represented by the Chairman Giovanni Valotti, the Chief Executive Officer Valerio Camerano and the Chairman of the Territory and Sustainability Committee Stefano Pareglio, presented the Group's commitments for an increasingly more sustainable business, which are summarised in the 2030 Sustainability Policy and the 2016-2020 Sustainability Plan.

A2A has drawn up its improvement plan starting with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, and the Group intends to make a tangible contribution to its implementation in the years ahead.

With the 2030 Sustainability Policy the Group sets out its commitment to help communities to be sustainable, becoming a key figure in a new economy: circular, low carbon and based on smart grids and services. It also intends to actively contribute to the well-being of the communities and to the improvement of working conditions, increasing transparency and improving dialogue with the stakeholders. A2A's path through to 2030 will be shaped by the Sustainability Plan, which translates the long-term objectives into feasible actions and concrete results in the medium-term (2016-2020). The development of the Sustainability Plan actions will be monitored over time and linked to management incentive systems. Monitoring will also be ensured by strengthening the Governance of Sustainability, extending the scope of the Territory Committee to cover Sustainability issues.

This path also includes the continuation of the experience launched with the first multistakeholder forum in Brescia in 2015 and continued in 2016 in Valtellina-Valchiavenna and Bergamo. This model of involvement will be extended to seven territories during the two-year period 2016-2017.
