Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), through the research program “Sustainability and Social Innovation (SIS), published in 2015, with the beginning of the UN Summit for Sustainable Development held on last September in New York, a book entitled “Un patto globale per lo sviluppo sostenibile. Processi e attori nell’Agenda 2030”.
This publication aims at raising the awareness among readers on the path that has marked the history of sustainable development over the past twenty years, the main stages and actors involved and building a framework for reflection on the efforts and those yet to be made to define a concrete and long-term scenario of sustainable development. A special focus is given to the role of business within the Agenda 2030, whose "transformative" potential has been recognized as an essential and critical lever for the construction of a path of green and inclusive economic growth.
“Un patto globale per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile. Processi e attori nell’Agenda 2030” is the result of FEEM’s research activities on sustainable development issues and of its active participation in the major national and international processes that have led to the development of Agenda 2030 and the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that by 2030 aims to address, in an integrated manner, the economic, social and environmental challenges that hinder the sustainable development of people and the preservation of the planet.
